We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Backend Developer to join our fast-growing development team in Dubai, UAE. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust APIs, database schemas, and business logic that support our modern applications. You’ll work closely with front-end developers, DevOps, and product managers to deliver scalable and secure software solutions.
What you'll get to do...
Develop and maintain server-side logic using modern frameworks and languages
Design scalable RESTful APIs to support web and mobile front-ends
Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval
Collaborate with DevOps on deployment, CI/CD, and server monitoring
Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality
Optimize backend processes for performance, security, and reliability
Troubleshoot and debug production issues in real-time
Your experience should include...
3+ years of backend development experience
Proficiency in one or more backend languages: Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP
Solid experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB)
Strong understanding of API security, token-based authentication (OAuth, JWT)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and version control (Git)
Good knowledge of design patterns and clean code principles
You might also have...
Experience with microservices architecture
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Knowledge of GraphQL and WebSocket protocols
Exposure to Agile methodologies and Scrum processes
Prior contributions to open-source projects
