We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team of software engineers in Austin, Texas. This role is pivotal in overseeing the development lifecycle, mentoring engineers, and driving the strategic execution of large-scale technical projects. You’ll be expected to blend strong technical expertise with excellent people management skills to build scalable systems and nurture a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Lead and manage a team of software engineers through planning, development, testing, and deployment
Define and maintain engineering best practices across code quality, security, and performance
Collaborate with product, design, and QA to deliver scalable and reliable solutions
Conduct regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and foster team career growth
Prioritize and allocate engineering resources effectively across multiple projects
Champion Agile methodologies and iterative development processes
Actively participate in architectural discussions and key technical decisions
Serve as a technical mentor and advocate for engineering excellence
8+ years of hands-on software development experience
3+ years of engineering management or team leadership experience
Strong foundation in system architecture and software design principles
Proficiency in backend languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go) and modern frameworks
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices
Proven track record of leading complex technical projects to successful completion
Excellent communication, project management, and team-building skills
Experience scaling engineering teams in a fast-growing tech environment
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools
Background in security, compliance, or data governance
Exposure to frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
